You Can Help Alcohol Research UK
We want to be able to fully understand the issues around alcohol for individuals, families and communities: why some people are more vulnerable than others, the contributing factors, the effective interventions, the barriers and facilitators and the human implications.
However we can’t do this alone and need your support if we are going to make a difference.
Whether you are an individual who has been affected by the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption, a company that is interested in improving the health of the nation, an agency that needs to undertake some research, or another charity that is already working in the field, there are lots of ways in which we can work together to tackle an issue which can have long term and devastating effects on individuals and their families.
Alcohol Research UK welcomes donations of any size. They all help us to provide the reliable, research-based evidence that can really make a difference in tackling the problem of alcohol misuse now and in the future.
A One-off Donation
For secure Credit/Debit Card donations:
Alternatively, you can send a donation by post. Simply send a cheque made payable to “Alcohol Research UK” to the following address:
Alcohol Research UK
83 Victoria Street,
If donating by post and you are a UK taxpayer, please make sure you complete a Gift Aid declaration, so that we can claim the tax back and make your donation go even further.
If you are able to make a larger donation of £10,000 or more (as a one-off donation or series of payments), you can create a “named” fund. This means that we will use your donation to set up a charitable fund within Alcohol Research UK but in your own name, that of a loved one or perhaps your company. We can discuss with you the area that you would like your funding to go into whether that is for tackling alcohol dependency, understanding the role of alcohol in domestic abuse or the link between alcohol and crime– we will ensure that your funding is used effectively and that it is put to research that will make a difference. A donation of £20,000 or more can be used to create a named endowment fund, meaning that the donation will go on working in your chosen name in perpetuity.
